Regulate Your Nervous System
One of my favorite habits is to get barefoot to detoxify the “electromagnetic field” energies from technology.
Empaths are more sensitive to the energies of technology.
Empaths are people believed to be highly sensitive to the emotions, energy, and moods of others — often feeling them as their own. Many also report sensitivity to environmental factors, including sound, light, and even electromagnetic energy.
While there’s limited scientific research directly linking EMFs and empathic sensitivity, many empaths report:
Feeling drained or anxious around electronics or Wi-Fi-heavy areas
Sleep disturbances from too much screen time or nearby tech
Headaches, fogginess, or mood shifts around strong EMF sources
Some theories suggest:
Empaths have a more finely tuned nervous system, making them more reactive to subtle environmental shifts — including EMFs.
EMFs interfere with energy fields or chakras, which empaths are believed to be more attuned to.
Prior to the overreaction of lockdown in San Diego, CA and having the unique job of going into others homes every day, I had not thought much about my gifting of bearing other peoples burdens. Learning to offload the negativity from other people is necessary for maintaining my own health.
Grounding is my number one go-to for a quick energetic detox.

With the dramatic rise in cancers and other diseases, and all of us being made up of energy in motion, this habit can help prevent toxic overload. Inflammation is one of the main drivers of all disease.
