Tools for Using it Wisely

When it comes to problems with weight and processed food and the peptides helping people lose weight, it’s complicated.

I was initially against this type of weight loss program because I remember what happened with Phen-fen. Many people I knew were dropping weight and it seemed like a real answer to obesity. Then people started dying or becoming permanently disabled from heart issues.

When Ozempic hit the market, people I knew started trying it.

Nearly all of the people I knew in my community were having bowel issues and felt sick most of the time from Monjauro, Wegovy and Ozempic. Many of those same people lost little to no weight in addition to being miserable all the time from stomach issues.

Over time, I started asking questions, and found an office that is really being strategic and careful in how they provide the peptides, and people are benefitting and not getting sick.

I think this can be a real solution for people who have continually struggled to change how they eat and drop the weight needed to reverse chronic diseases like fatty liver and diabetes:

  • People often don’t lose weight without GLP-1 help because biology defends fat stores through hormones, appetite, metabolism, and brain reward pathways. Semaglutide “turns down the volume” on those defenses.

  • Medications like semaglutide replace the missing GLP-1 signal, slowing stomach emptying, improving insulin response, and enhancing satiety.

  • This helps people naturally eat less without constant hunger or willpower battles—something the body usually prevents when dieting alone.

Low dose versus high dose:

Low dose: gentler, safer, more sustainable for some; good for diabetes control, moderate weight loss, and reducing side effects.

  • High dose: maximizes weight and fat loss, but carries higher risk of side effects, nutrient deficiency from under-eating, and greater lean mass loss if not countered with protein + strength training.

The only way I recommend people talking to a Doctor about taking these peptides is starting with the low dose. This gives your practitioner and you as the user time to see how your body reacts, and gives room to adjust without making you feel sick all the time.

My hope and goal for all of my clients is to help them permanently recover their health. The best way of doing this is gradually in order to really build into your lifestyle.
