Permanent Weight Loss
WITH REAL FOOD
This is one of my favorite topics!
In the United States, we spend more dollars on diet fads while being SIMULTANEOUSLY the sickest and fattest modern nation for that investment.
What does that say to me as a health practitioner?
It tells me there is messaging that is ineffective In creating permanent sustained health.
Weight loss is a byproduct of good health.
Let me explain:
A person can go into any avenue of learning, a bookstore, a doctor’s office, a clinic, and hear many conflicting messages about how to get healthy. It can be overwhelming and confusing for even an educated professional.
The problem I see is how to create lasting change that ends the vicious cycle of investing in diet programs and cycling back to the common recurrence of weight gain with added weight often an additional issue of this yo-yo lifestyle.
Here is how I address this both practically and Bioindividually with each person I work with:
When you work with me, we adapt long term lifestyle changes based on your interests, foods you enjoy, and digestive or other food needs. These changes are gradual and a bit at a time. The biggest reason most challenges or weight loss programs fail, is they don’t take into account the Bioindividual needs of each person. The bummer about failing to maintain health gains, is it creates a new ceiling for someone where they can be afraid to try again.
When you make changes in steps that are sustainable and enjoyed, the ability to hang on to these gains grows too. Here are a few of my guidelines for a health program:
Budget Friendly Path- We take in mind your ability to carry this forward. Most people are not aware of how much money they spend on coffee and snack habits, and this is where we find plenty of dollars to pay for cleaner food.
Prioritizing Movement- All movement is exercise. What this means practically is whether you love to garden, paint the house, walk, run circuits or play pickle ball, it ALL COUNTS AS EXERCISE! Bringing the fun activities in as a workout gives you things to look forward to in your routine.
Prioritizing Sleep- Most people are unaware that the quality of your sleep is one of the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT details of whether or not you lose weight and keep it off. Sleep must come first to effectively help any other goals.
Have a question?
Set up a short call to ask questions, order broths or stocks from my own kitchen, or chat about goal setting.
